中国对印度表示：要把边界问题放在双边关系的“适当位置”

NEW DELHI: Chinese foreign minister Qin Gang told his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar China is willing to speed up resumptions of exchanges with India in various fields, including resuming direct flights at the earliest date and facilitating people-to-people exchanges, but also reiterated Beiing's position that the boundary issue be kept in the "proper place'' in the ties.

新德里：中国外交部长秦刚向印度外长苏杰生表示，中国愿意加快重启与印度在各领域的交流，包括恢复直航最早日期和促进人文交流，但也重申了中国的立场，即要把边界问题放在双边关系的“适当位置”。

A Chinese readout of Qin's meeting with Jaishankar on Thursday also claimed the latter told Qin that the current situation at the border is "gradually stabilising'' while seeking joint efforts to maintain peace and tranquillity in the border areas.

中国的一份报道称，秦刚周四会见了苏杰生，苏杰生告诉秦刚，目前边境的局势正在“逐步稳定”，同时寻求共同努力，维护边境地区的和平与安宁。

While India wants the disengagement process in eastern Ladakh to be completed at the remaining friction points before resuming bilateral exchanges, China continues to maintain the boundary issue should not be allowed to come in the way of bilateral ties.

印度希望在拉达克东部剩余的摩擦点完成脱离接触进程，然后恢复双边交往，中国继续主张边界问题不应成为双边关系的障碍。

Jaishankar had told Qin that Sino-Indian ties were "abnormal'' and there was a need to address this. India has maintained there can be no normalcy in ties without peace in the border areas.

苏杰生曾向秦刚表示，中印关系“不正常”，有必要解决这一问题。印度坚持认为，没有边境地区的和平，两国关系就不可能正常。

According to a inhua report, Qin also said situation in the border areas should be brought under "normalised management'' as soon as possible. Qin told Jaishankar that both sides should implement the important consensus of the leaders of the two countries, maintain dialogue and properly resolve disputes, and promote the improvement of bilateral ties.

据新华社报道，秦刚还表示，边境地区的局势应尽快恢复“正常管理”。秦刚表示，双方应落实两国领导人重要共识，保持对话，妥善解决分歧，推动两国关系改善。

As neighboring countries and major emerging economies, China and India have far more common interests than differences, Qin said.

秦刚说，中印作为邻国和主要新兴经济体，共同利益远大于分歧。

The development and revitalisation of China and India display the strength of develo countries, which will change the future of one-third of the world's population, the future of Asia and even the whole world, according to Qin.

中印两国的发展振兴，展现了发展中国家的力量，这将改变世界三分之一人口的未来，改变亚洲乃至整个世界的未来。

India should be very cautious when dealing with China. now China wants more Indian business ties and then relent on LAC issue.,But we need to plan and act smart and our FM Mr Jaishankar understand it fully. But meanwhile we should not lower our guard at LAC, our forces giving befitting reply to PLA.
