China is dominating Latin America with 19 of 33 countries in the region joining the Belt and Road Initiative! The region has primarily traded with the United States, but in recent years many countries have been switching their allegiances to China. Has China been good or bad for Latin America?

Because Latin America nations knew that the US is not interested in hel them to turn their countries into developed nations, otherwise the US would have no control over these nations, like plotting propagandas and forcing regime changes to serve US’s interests. As for China, they know China will help them to build their basic and needed infrastructures to boost up their economies and leading towards prosperous directions. In return, China can continue to have a win-win trading relationship with these nations in long term.

In general, US always complain about illegal migrants crossing US’s border. However, the US pretends not knowing the root cause of this issue which indirectly/directly caused by their foreign policies.  For China, she believes when a country is prosperous, why would anyone wanted to be an illegal migrant.

Because All poor countries has 2 options to choose. Either be poor and suppress by the US for life or make a deal with China and have a chance of success in life for your People. China provide the tools to help poor countries for an exchange as partnership. US did not. that's why Latin America, Middle Eastern Countries, and Africa joined hands with china. because they are asking themselves. Are we going to continue to live like this for the rest of our lives or are we going to do something about it?

- Increased the size and capacity of the major ship port

- doubled the size of the main highway into the capital

- built a brand new high-way connecting the north and south of the island cutting that travel time to less than half

- extended exsting highways

- built a brand new highway to the east of the capital (project underway)

- increased and extended roads all over the capital city

So, even if resource extraction was their objective, they've also made sure that the local people enjoy some results of their presence/involvement.
