People who insist on their own freedom to do whatever they want without realising or failing to acknowledge that freedom comes with responsibility. This was especially seen during the height of the pandemic with many people insisting on their right to go unmasked, leading to the deaths of many.

I don’t think other countries accept any country as ‘best in the world’ either. Why would there be a league table called ‘best’ when there are so many criteria upon which to judge ‘best’.

It has to MEAN something. Best is subjective.

Also why would British people want England to ‘stand’ in front of America?

You have the world’s second highest prison population per capita (only just below China) homicide rates of 4.96% per capita compared to the UK’s 1.2%, you have really weird laws prohibiting kinder eggs because they’re dangerous but sell guns in supermarkets, you indoctrinate children to pledge allegiance to the magic sky cloth, and you’re overly sensitive it too. You have healthcare that can bankrupt you, woefully underperforming vehicles and most of your food contains artificial shit. Don’t even get me started on the plastic substance you call cheese.

A very childish question, but there are some Americans who are unaware of their history, and don’t realise that their country would be a very different one if British, predominantly English, people had not bothered to make long, dangerous sea journeys and set up colonies there. ( Whether that was a good thing is another question, if you were one of the many peoples living there already.). But if the English had stayed at home, someone else would have done it - the Spanish, French, German or. Dutch, probably, and American history would have been different. It is possible that several different “ countries” might now exst, as in the southern part of the continent, much of it Spanish speaking. The Louisiana Purchase might not have taken place. Who knows how things could have turned out? Britain was the founder of what the US is now, which is why English is the language there, although our days as Top Nation are in the past, like the Greek Empire, the Roman Empire, the Mongols, the French and the Spanish. As it will be for the USA, and the superpower that succeeds them. History is long, and people are already talking about Red States seceding and civil war. Things seem to be deteriorating fast - a mob trying to overthrow an election result by force, a former president very publicly trashing the integrity of many of the country’s major institutions, proclaiming deep corruption, the untrustworthiness of millions of Americans and the need to throw out the rule of law and the Constitution. People can’t disagree; they have to hate. A country founded on Christian principles now wears T shirts saying “Fuck your feelings.” and elected a man advocating grabbing women by the genitals. A young nation is crumbling before our eyes, while a very old one is watching, sadly. A beautiful country, with so much potential and so much already achieved, tearing itself apart. But all is not lost. We had a Civil War, over a hundred years before the USA exsted, politically, and we ‘re still standing. Can the US find the strength to save itself? I hope so.

American education rates very poorly and well down the list. American education is far lower than other countries. A high school graduate only has a year 9 academic level compared with many other countries. An American bachelor degree is the equivalent of a high school graduate in other countries.
