‘Indians very happy…’: Jaishankar dismisses World Happiness Report as ‘Mind Games’

In a first response from the Narendra Modi government to the World Happiness Report released earlier this week, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has called it 'mind games'. Interacting with students at the RV Dental College in Bengaluru, S Jaishankar dismissed the report and cited an example of his friend from Singapore to claim how Indians are happier than the Europeans.

As a Canadian, I fail to understand those happiness indexes as well.. We have many times come across as the happiest country... Yet I fail to see that in everyone around me... Everyone seems miserable/depressed and lonely... We are just good at making thing look good... Happiness is subjective. It depends on what is happiness. Indians are happy because of family system due to which there will always be moral support for each other which is nor present in western or European countries.
