At least 35 people – mostly women and children – were killed, and over a dozen others are missing and feared dead after Shri Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal temple floor that was actually a mere tile-and grille covering of an old stepwell collapsed in Indore on Thursday morning. Indore Collector Dr Ilayaraja T said a total of 18 people were admitted to the hospital, out of which 2 people have been discharged. One person is still missing. Army, NDRF & SDRF teams are conducting search & rescue operations at the spot

事故发生时，约有数十人在寺庙内参加活动，覆盖阶梯井的混凝土地板无法承受这么多人的重量，突然坍塌，导致人们跌入12米深的阶梯井中。事故发生后，已有14人获救，其中2人接受治疗后已经出院。
