Up until now, I have not seen any benefits due to Brext. If anything, we are worse off. Where’s concrete evidence that we are better off?

Contrary to the various responses to this question from illustrious brexteers, there are none. To confirm this, search the material in the FT, Economist, BBC, and many other serious media.
Funny footnote 1: Patrick Minford is the only economist of any note to still be waving his brexteering flag. Even he admits that brext necessitates total annihilation of UK’s automobile and farming sectors. He sees this as the price we must pay for our blue passports (which we could have had anyway)
Funny footnote 2: In December 2022 poll, of 631 constituencies across the UK, there remains only one - yes one - that still ins not ant-brext. The population of the UK now understands that brext was a stupid catastrophe.

What benefits from Brext have we seen so far this year?
This may sound facetious, but I’m actually being sincere.
One of the greatest benefits I’ve seen so far has been that many non tax-paying, non-integrating Brits living in the EU in little enclaves and taking advantage of local benefits have decided to move back to the UK.
For the sake of transparency: I live in France but am not (yet) a French citizen. I was born In Italy but am a UK citizen and my children attend French school and speak 3 languages fluently, so I am clearly a great believer of - and greatly invested in - the European (EU) project.
Among the most depressing things I’ve seen in the parts of the EU I have lived in are precisely these sad little-Britain enclaves of mediocrity, where no-one speaks the local language and everyone complains about how much better it is in the UK but doesn’t contribute to the social security system they happily feed on. I have many British friends who have become completely integrated, and they do indeed contribute positively to local society (and are welcomed by locals), but as for the other kind, I think that the EU is glad to see the back of them.

How will we know if Brext has been a success, and what will happen if it isn't?
At the risk of sounding a bit glib, we will know that Brext is a success when we stop talking about Brext.
If Brext all goes swimmingly, it will form part of the political orthodoxy. Basically nobody talks about say, Bank of England independence anymore. Or about introducing the minimum wage. Or about the Parliament Act.
If Brext isn’t a success, it will continue to be a sore on British politics, and thus a focus point for discussion, for many years to come.

Is the UK better off leaving the EU? What changes have they seen since Brext?
Yes. We save our net EU contribution of £8b / year.
For our troubles we get to continue paying roughly £40b of financial commitments and carry a trade loss of £100b / year.
Within 5 years that means we will be -£500b better off.

What if Brext is done, and makes everyone worse off?
If everyone is worse off, then the plans of the big Tory donors and the seven offshore billionaires who control the press will have gone dreadfully awry. Brext was intended to make them richer.
But assuming you mean everyone else, then many will just see the grim misery as business as usual, a continuation of Tory austerity. Co with being poor is exhausting and many poor people just haven't got the energy to demonstrate or complain.
Every time one of the Tory's new hospitals is opened, (probably a repainted old one with a new name, or a new small local one with limited services) it will be massive news. Negative news will be surpressed or explained away.
Labour will pick a new unelectable leader and the Tories will win big again in 2024. People won't notice that their rights have been revoked until it's too late.
Gradually the UK will become irrelevant as it's economy suffers and others prosper. There will be much flag-waving and ingoism. People will be urged to "Buy British" in big government funded ad campaigns.

What will happen to the UK after Brext?
Quite simply, Britain will become great again.
We’ll return to Pounds, shilling and pence. Instead of half-hearted attempts to adapt metric measurements, we’ll re-establish bushels, pecks, furlongs, chains, stones, quarters, drams, etc.
Then we’ll reform some of the great British institutions such as British Leyland, and put the fear of God into companies like BMW, Mercedes, Renault, Peugeot, Fiat, etc. when we flood the world market with our Austin Allegros, Morris Marinas and Hillman Avengers.
Having brought most industrialised nations’ economies to their knees, we will march pretty well unopposed across the globe, and retake the countries of the old British Empire. Yes, and you America!
China, Russia, Japan… look out!

Isn't Brext a foolish idea?
In principle no.
There is nothing necessarily foolish about a country voluntarily leaving an multinational institution. EU membership is voluntary and each member state is free to leave at any time.
But Brext has been foolishly handled by incompetent, misleading and idiotic elected British politicians. Among their Brext tomfoolery:
The last prime minister David Cameron decided to hold a Brext referendum unsupported by plans, policies or process. The referendum campaign was conducted by British politicians who offered Brext as a positive event with no trade offs. They made outlandish claims - either because they didn’t expect to have implement their nonsense or because they foolishly thought the rest of the EU will agree to their domestic nonsense.
The referendum result triggered a political crisis of which Theresa May became the main beneficiary. She won a peculiar party leadership contest that followed the referendum. Outlandish political figures fell by the wayside leaving her with a clear, unopposed path to the top. She had no time to give deep thought to Brext.
Her Brext negotiating red lines were issued without understanding or consequences. As a result, the UK government have been involved in glacial talks with the EU featuring constant domestic backtracking and political deception.
Having failing to consult parliament, establish cross party support for a develop a wider Brext consensus, Mrs May has alienated almost everybody with her convoluted withdrawal agreement (the actual deal). There is now every expectation that parliamentary will reject Mrs May’s deal.
Even if it is ratified and implemented, Mrs May’s Brext withdrawal agreement means another three years of UK government renegotiations with the EU.

I can provide you with some potential benefits that proponents of Brext have argued since the UK left the EU. Here are a few potential benefits that have been discussed:
Regulatory autonomy: After Brext, the UK gained the ability to set its own regulations and standards, allowing for more flexbility and the possibility to tailor regulations to its specific needs. This could potentially lead to innovation and growth in certain sectors.
Trade deals: The UK has signed several trade deals with non-EU countries since Brext, such as the UK-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. These deals could potentially provide new market opportunities for British businesses.
Immigration control: Brext has allowed the UK to implement its own immigration policy. This could help the government manage migration more effectively in line with the country's economic and social needs.
Fisheries: As a result of Brext, the UK has regained control over its Exclusive Economic Zone, allowing for better management of its fishing resources. This may benefit the domestic fishing industry in the long run.
Financial contributions: The UK no longer has to contribute to the EU budget, which could result in savings for the government. These funds can be redirected to address domestic priorities, such as healthcare or infrastructure.
It's important to remember that the consequences of Brext are complex and multifaceted. There are both positive and negative effects, and the overall impact on the UK will depend on a variety of factors, including future trade deals, economic policies, and global economic conditions.
