BEIG: China's first indigenously built passenger aircraft C919 is scheduled to make its maiden commercial flight on Sunday, a media report said on Friday.

State-owned China Eastern Airlines (CEA), the initial customer, will launch the plane's first commercial flight on May 28 from Shanghai to Beiing, state-run CGTN TV reported.

北京：周五，一家媒体报道称，中国首架国产客机C919计划于周日进行首次商业飞行。

据官方电视台报道，作为最初的客户，国有的中国东方航空公司将于5月28日推出该飞机从上海飞往北京的首个商业航班。

The C919 is developed by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), and it was granted a type certificate by the Civil Aviation Administration of China last September.

CEA conducted a 100-hour verification flight for its first C919 aircraft on December 26, 2022, to verify and confirm the aircraft's operational safety.

So far, over 1,200 C919 jetliners have been ordered, according to COMAC.

According to estimates, China had 6,795 civil aircraft in 2020, mostly that of Boeing and Airbus.

C919由中国商用飞机公司（COMAC）开发，并于去年9月获得中国民用航空局颁发的型号证书。

2022年12月26日，CEA为首架C919飞机进行了100小时的验证飞行，以验证和确认飞机的运行安全。

Honestly as a Indian one thing I really about china or Chinese were, even though world accuse them and always makes fun of them, still they work and achieve their goals. Off-course Chinese technologies might be not as per with its western counterparts but at least they tried and developed/build something to be proud of themselves. Hope This commercial plan will also became a success. As Indian i understand how difficult of a govt to manage such large populations and also pour money to this kind of development, kudos to Chinese workers and scientists , engineers who makes this goal achieved.
