I don’t see any reason why a practical average person will chose Brazil over India.

India is miles ahead of Brazil.

I have interviewed several of my Brazilian friends here in India and came to this conclusion.

We will compare everything unbiased, please make sure to read all of the answer carefully.

1. SOCIAL/POLITICAL STABILITY: India is way more socially and politically stable than Brazil. Brazil is led by a pathetically corrupt government. Political riots are always on the corner. Social life is very much average in India and peaceful compared to Brazil. In India too politics takes on protests sometimes, but it is rarely affects majority of the common people compared to Brazil. However people in India debate a lot about politics and Modi.For an average person India serves a good stable life socially and politically compared to Brazil and many other nations. The government in India is also generally peaceful and always strives towards growth compared to Brazil. Corruption exsts in India as well, but nowhere near to Brazil.

2. INFRASTRUCTURE : I have no idea why people draw baseless conclusions about Brazil’s infrastructure being superior to India. India has a better infrastructure than Brazil normally. Infrastructure is not just roads, it includes many different stuffs too. I will expand.

India has been placed 10th in the world for overall quality of Infrastructure, 7th in standardization at par with developed countries. Brazil is merely ranked 56th in infrastructure quality worldwide. All of this is sourced from Global Quality Infrastructure Index

India holds World records for fastest road construction. Cant see such huge developments in Brazil.

India also has the second largest road network in the entire world despite being the 7th largest. Although not all of it is good, but majority is. Brazil stands 4th.

In terms of railways hands down India wins. India has a much efficient railways system with most of it getting even better. In Brazil, I can’t assure the same, as the trains were quite inconvienient and basically just average. And the fact ins Indian railways are getting just better and better in competiton to China.

Nope thats not an Airport thats a railway station in India. Brazil is nowhere near to it.

Both are BRICS countries. While India is a global power, Brazil is struggling with its exports and many other issues more serious than India.

India is now competing to become a world economic power with China. Even though, India is technically an economic global power, but it is still climbing up whereas Brazil is stalling.

Now this is a very spiced up debate. Just because Brazil’s GDP per capita is higher than India, dosen’t mean India has a lower quality of life than Brazil.

India has a better Quality of Life than Brazil, several factors count towards this.

India is one of the 4 nations to possess anti-sattelite weapons and indegenious defence systems.

India has been to Mars in the first attempt beating NASA, Brazil is way too behind in these terms.

Air Quality in India is also worse than Brazil in major cities only.

India has a much lower rate of violent crime than Brazil. India’s murder rate is about one tenth that of Brazil.

Other than that, Brazil is better is all ways. Economic prosperity, culture, social life.

Brazil is a country ahead of India in the development scale, but Brazil is standing still while India is going forward.

Both countries have their problems. Indian’s problems tend to be larger because India’s population is larger (and growing larger still), and thus tackling them requires more effort.

Brazil, however, have problems in its very core and Brazilian society is too worried of symptoms to solve the real problems.

BRAZIL IS WAY BETTER! Im Indian and have been to Brazil.

Firstly the country is much much more developed than ours.

Secondly the people are more relaxed and chilled out, streets are not as polluted, no traffic chaos, etc.

Only downside of Brazil was crime. India is definitely safer.
