NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said he looks forward to addressing the joint meeting of US Congress for the second time during his upcoming visit to America.

新德里：周二，莫迪总理表示，他期待在即将到来的访美期间第二次在美国国会联席会议上发表讲话。

The Prime Minister also thanked Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries for their "gracious invitation".

莫迪还对众议院议长凯文·麦卡锡、参议院多数党领袖查克·舒默、参议院共和党领袖米奇·麦康奈尔和众议院民 主党领袖哈基姆·杰弗里斯的“盛情邀请”表示感谢。

He added that India is proud of its comprehensive global strategic partnership with US, which is "built upon the foundation of shared de ocratic values, strong people-to-people ties, and an unwavering commitment to global peace and prosperity."

PM Modi will address a joint session of the US Congress on June 22 during his official state visit to the country.

He will share his vision of India's future and speak on the global challenges facing the two countries, top congressional leaders had announced on Friday.
