China's non-fossil fuel power generation capacity exceeds 50%

China has achieved a significant milestone as its installed capacity of non-fossil energy power generation now accounts for 50.9% of the country's total capacity. This achievement surpasses the initially set goal of surpassing fossil fuel plants by 2025. China has also set targets to peak carbon dioxde emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.

it would be insanely difficult to achieve 100% fossil free. alternative energy is not predictable much and it needs to be stored. Hydrogen probably will be the answer to the all questions. All the generated energy should be stored somehow and then spent to produce energy. We don't know to expect in the future. Simple volcano or absense of sun for extremely cloudy days can leave whole country without power.

I visited China almost every year since 1996. I can see the pollution improvement over past 10 years. 20years ago, it was quite bad, that's facts. but now, it is much better and getting better and better.
