I’ll address number One. The Falkland war, was a risky Gamble for the British, although it paid off. the British forces that took part in conflict was medium if we were to compare it to forces of the British empire of old: 30,000 British sailors, marines, soldiers, airmen and merchant mariners took part in the conflict. In order to sustain them in a war with China, the British would need to travel across the atlantic and pacific oceans, which is not an easy task to complete. Additionally, they lack any bases close to China where they could build up or refuel. That completely depends on the theatre. For example, the UK operating in China's backyard, not a chance in hell. The UK forces couldn't cope with the sheer number of now technologically advanced forces arrayed against them with no supply line issues. China operating in the North Sea? They'd get wiped out. China simply couldn't bring it’s force of numbers to bear quickly enough and would have huge supply line issues. Could China invade the UK? No. It would have to cross continents full of hostile powers to get to UK shorelines where the RAF’s Typhoons and F35s would wreak havoc. Not to mention the UKs sizeable fleet of Astute subs. Then, China would also have to accept nuclear war. Not really a price worth paying for this little island…

If the UK were to envoke article V then the Chinese would be fighting 27 other nations some powers like: USA, Germany, France, Uk and Italy all of whom have capable armies especially the USA. but let’s the UK decides to leave out NATO to beat China get some personal glory… No China dominates the Brits in every single war factor it ain’t gonna be like the 1800’s when you fought their swords and crossbows with muskets and cannons, your using 1990’s guns and tanks against a mordern nuclear power with some the most advanced weoponary of any nation.
