There is no doubt that India is growing rapidly but it will take a decade or two to become the biggest economy of the world.
But, there are lot of things thats needs a lot of improving at the grassroots level.

2 decades? Are you joking....with the most optimistic of expectations, it will take atleast 5.....i would stress the importance of knowing things before saying things:
Country GDP
1 United States of America 23.3 trillion
2 People's Republic of China 17.7 trillion
3 Japan 4.9 trillion
4 Germany 4.3 trillion
5 India 3.2 trillion

We are still 6 times behind China and 8 times behind the US......those are numbers that cannot be caught upto in 2 decades....and even if we do, the pie, even as large as that, being divided among the people, everone gets a smaller share than the next 5 countries' people get....so yea, be realistic in your expectations of what can be achieved...

That boy has said well. Never expected that . Per capita income does matters a lot to become a world leader or a world power . America , Japan , Germany , china, and even Italy which is in g7 they have far better per capita income than India. So I think India should focus more on per capita income.
