新 疆四条高速公路同时通车

Four expressways in Hami City, northwest China's X injiang , opened to traffic on June 30. The S519 is a two-way, four-lane highway that connects Wutongdaquan with Shaquanzi and runs 80.8 kilometers from north to south. It links to two major trunk lines: the Beiing-X injiang and Lianyungang-Khorgos expressways. Sections of G331, G312 and S238 highways were also open to traffic on the same day. The inauguration of these highways further improves the transportation network in eastern X injiang.

中国西北部新疆哈密市的四条高速公路于6月30日通车。S519是一条双向四车道公路，连接五通大桥和沙泉子，南北长80.8公里。它连接两条主要干线：京新高速公路和连霍高速公路。

Chinese can build anything you want however there are countries where governments can play dirty unwilling to accept agreements already signed by previous government due to their internal politics. They will tell Chinese companies that it is too expensive, blah blah blah, like in this case Mahathir withdrew the contracts. I think this is why Chinese companies prefer to deal with West Asia.

Four Expressway opened at the same time!

Been in UK since 1972. I cannot think of UK having opened a new motorway after the completion of M25 since 1986.
On record since my arrival UK has built many motorways but it has almost stopped creating the new ones in the last decade. I travel A1(M) from the North East to London for all those years and UK has been upgraded this stretch bit by bit over 50 years.

i don't really think so. there is no point to turn the west into a copy of the east. that would be as silly as trying to make Iowa population as dense as new york. the goal here is to link Asia together, to stablise central asia and reduce room for radicalism to grow. as long as the region has enough production to sustain their population, that is enough.

That population balance has been (roughly) the same in China for over 100 years - look up the 'Heihe-Tengchong Line'. Western China does not need to, and should not, become the same as the eastern half, particularly not the Eastern seaboard.
