We should focus on population control at the earliest if not, we will face lots of difficulties in the near future. Maybe some policies would help and mainly educating and spreading awareness on the rural areas and slums would help. I know there might be some NGOs already working on those but its high time that our Govt focus more on population too..

Below poverty line/lower income group (BPL/LIG) is gradually becoming the dominant face of India. India is now pretty much defined by this class (75% of India= 1 Billion people ).

You can see them on the sides of railway lines, illegal colonies in cities, in slum clusters, encroachment on footpaths, illegal occupation of public parks, on both sides of metro track, slums on the sides of river or just about anywhere they can lay their hands on.

Most of them are labor class. Rickshaw pullers, manual labor carrying bricks, auto rick drivers, road side vendors & hawkers, milk man, car washers, porters, tire puncture repair, farm labor, construction labor, clerks, salesmen, chaprasi and janitors etc. All of that work could be done by machines or by opening large superstores. These are EXTRA people who were not needed.
