Assuming that’s true, I’ll suppose that the language difference is a factor. I’ll suppose that few people in Vietnam and Laos and Myanmar and Korea speak Chinese. In the USA, immigrants can settle among their own countrypersons, and it’s not necessary to learn English to survive.
