印度空间研究组织现在可以跟美国宇航局和俄罗斯航天局试比高了

NEW DELHI: Buoyed by the success of the Chandrayaan-3 landing mission and successful liftoff of India’s first Aditya L1 Sun mission, space minister Jitendra Singh has said Isro now has the capacity to complete with US space agency Nasa and Russian agency Roscosmos in space expeditions.

新德里：受月船3号成功着陆任务和印度首颗太阳神L1卫星成功发射的鼓舞，印度航天部长吉腾德拉·辛格表示，印度空间研究组织ISRO现在有能力与美国宇航局和俄罗斯航天局进行太空竞赛。

The last nine years have witnessed a quantum jump in India’s space journey, making India standing on a par with Nasa and Roscosmos, which are now collaborating with Isro for space expeditions, Singh said. He said the supremacy that India has evidently demonstrated before the world in terms of its human resource and human calibre through cost-effective means despite constrained resources has put India as a frontline nation and a scientific-cum-economic force to reckon with. Singh said India's recent space marvels have only been possible under PM Modi who has opened up new vistas for India's space sector through public private partnership model.

“Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya-L1 spearhead India's 'Amrit Kaal' growth journey over the next 25 years … this era has rightfully (been) called as ‘Modi's Era’ and the world has hailed Modi for his progressive policy decisions. Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya-L1 are its outcomes,” the minister said during the launch of the ‘Mera Maati Mera Desh' campaign in J&K’s Udhampur district.

In another event in Noida on Monday, the minister said that the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3 has sparked global aspirations in Indian students. The number of space startups skyrocketed from merely 4 to 150 and most of them being led by science students, researchers and entrepreneurs.

Boasting does no good for anyone. ISRO'S accomplishment are phenomenal given we are new comers and used minimal funds to develop our Space Technology. But to compare ISRO with NASA is unwarrented since we have not yet sent a man to the moon or sent any human to space or have a earth orbiting space station. We may be capable of doing all these in due course but let us not boast about our status vis a vis other nations who have accomplished more.

Ministers can just talk big. Just need to connect every achievement to politics and their leader. USA, Russia and China are still ahead of India just by number of successful missions to moon or space in general. Of course ISRO's core goal to achieve success with minimum cost has always been unique and has shown amazing results. ISRO is accepted and respected for the same reason by specialists all around the world - and it is nothing new.

The very fact that we are yet to place humans in space space indicates the gap between ISRO and NASA,Roscosmos. Our main achievement is that we have come thus far despite ministers like this.
