Slum-dwellers in New Delhi’s Janta Camp have been evicted from their homes as the Indian government gears up to host the G20 summit on September 9, 2023, at a venue some 500 metres away from the site. Scores of people have been rendered homeless over months despite an appeal to the Delhi High Court, which ruled the squatter areas illegal and ordered its residents to vacate by the end of May.

Goddang. Instead of hel the homeowners by relocating them somewhere adequate, those rich government snobs straight up went and said "Yerghh! These peasant dwelling shacks have befouled my instrument of perception. Raze these unsightly public squalors, post-haste!" to these poor residents.

I can only imagine how heartbreaking it is to see the home that you've lived in for decades get destroyed by some bulldozer that came under the government's order.

India has the money to fund costly space vanity projects, yet hesitate to help their poor.

As an Indian, I feel that all the slum people should be forcibly thrown out of their houses and should be fined heavily for building slums.

Government has given them houses to live for free, what these people do is, give these houses to other people to get some extra income out of it and go back and live in these slums(Because that's how they used to live and they're used to it).

I feel it's the time India must forcibly do it!
