The day india do that is the day i either revolt against the govt along with others or leave this country. Nepal is a peaceful country always followed rules, i am sad with uttarakhand border dispute and it rightfully belongs to nepal as per last treaty. Have you in the history of India ever seen India annexng any land? It is NOT in Indian blood to take any land by force. India has been occupied by the British, Portuguese, French etc. Unlike China etc, India has no history whatsoever in annexng a country. And 99.99% of Indians will NOT want the Government to do this. We adore Nepalese and want them to preserve the mountains and their culture. As for politicians, they are always corrupt. My answer. India will never do that. We have no reason to invade Nepal. India is already on path to become world most populous country beating China. This is a major concern to India and we frankly no plan to invade any country and invite more people to win the unwanted race with china plus more pollution issues.

If peaceful, then not much. If forceful then expect resistance. However, it is not really Nepal that India should be worried about, but rather China. So, the question should really be, “If India decides to annex Nepal tomorrow, what will the Chinese do?” Every international politics is geopolitics. If somehow China and India decides among themselves that Nepal should go to India and that China will not bat an eyelid, then nothing can be done. Heck, there may even be a quid-pro-quo arrangement among the Chinese and the Indian where the Chinese will annex Taiwan while India will annex Nepal. If these two neighboring giants decide among themselves that Nepal should not exst, then it won’t.

Nothing. Other than pakistan and china, most of India’s neighboring armies can easily be defeated by India’s state police or at most the central armed police forces.

But it is obvious that this question a meant to provoke. India and Nepal may disagree on certain issues but Indians have a very favorable view of Nepal. Forget annexng Nepal, most of us would actively support to protect Nepal if someone tries to threaten it. And since India is a de ocracy, our leaders cannot take an action which would be opposed by all sections of the society.
