As an Australian citizen now of Indian origin, i can assure you there is no racism in Australia. I am seeing Indian students studying in Australia and getting into good jobs because the job market is pretty good. I find it very difficult to recruit for some of the roles here because there are just not enough applicants. And i am talking about a role that pays 100,000 AUD per year. The Xenophobia mentioned by Aakash is an over-exaggeration of certain incidents which are not race related but youth crime related incidents.

I got a PhD in space sciences from a leading university in the US, tried coming to work for ISRO about 6 years back, and they asked me to take GATE to be "eligible" without even considering my resume. India only makes sense if you are majoring in CS, EE, or business.

Despite having studied Engineering, I had to take up another an external Industrial Diploma course which was more useful and practical than all my engineering course and also helped me get a job. My staring pay despite all that investment was close to 10,000 INR in 2015. I was exploited to the core on my job but of course learnt a lot of things on that field job.

I am a dental graduate from one of the good colleges in north India. We passed out in dec 2022.More than half of my batchmates have emmigrated to western countries and other are also considering moving abroad because of lack of jobs available in this field in India and also expenses of opening a clinic here are very high with very little returns .I am myself preparing for govt job exams....some people are even willing to take up clerk or peon jobs after BDS .the situation of jobs in india is deteriorated to such an extent you see..

As someone who works in the study immigration industry in Chandigarh i have to say that students are even ready to sell their kidneys to migrate out. But I dont think it's gonna affect the Indian GDP or harm us in any other way because of the sheer number of youth we have. The students who move out most of them don't even complete their studies at least that's the case from northern India & Gujarat who comprises the majority of students who move abroad. When I see the pathetic quality of students who are moving abroad I feel it's good that they move out as it doesn't get any kind of good paying blue colour job in India and at abroad they earn sufficient enough after working for 2 shifts everyday. Students from the north don't have any real plan they just want to move out anyhow.

Feeling having skills, but starting job at 20k even 1600 km away from home, after studying 5 years. This is hurting. Comparing to those who are in Canada, went after HSC, after 5 years and of struggling years, they have PR and very good life, along with financial and even some buying Home. Even here we are forced to work more than 12 hours and you can't even do small job after that.

10-11  years ago my friends from punjab use to work in multinationals in bangalore,  noida,  gurgaon but know no one is here all went to Canada,  Australia.... in this toxc religious environment everybody want to leave India to change his fortune...

As someone who is in the US and currently about to finish Masters, everything said in the video is absolutely true. My engineering bachelor's degree was a waste as I barely learned anything useful from it. I have now learned a lot staying for two years in the US from a non-engineering degree but jobs are really tough to get here. I never had intentions of staying back in the US but coming to India is also fearful for me as the job situation is even worse.

 have myself moved abroad and I tell you the one key reason is reservation of jobs and seats in India. In IIM's , IIT's etc we have reservations for the rich SC, ST , OBC who no longer deserve to get those seats reserved as they are very well off. And if parents are sending children abroad its because their parents are well off too.

Am living in UK. I know situation is not so good in India. Yet foreign countries too are struggling but still am here bcoz of the quality of life, education. I work in the semiconductor industry in the US - after getting my MS. The one thing I would say is, there is no silver bullet. Just because you get an MS / PhD degree - doesnt guarantee employment - but will add the burden of an education loan. If you do decide to pursue an advanced degree, make sure you really like what you are studying - that is the only way you will be able to put in the work and diligence to make it through.
