I will be the first one to use the new OS, although I have not used MS Windows on all my computers since 2003 and I have been using Linux ever since, and I always encourage my students to use Linux.
My fight against Windows and Apple operating system was not political but rather based on ethical and technical grounds. Now there is a geo-strategic and economic reason why China, Russia, and the global south, should adopt Linux based operating systems on a large scale.

Have a Microsoft 365 license for the entire family but still prefer LibreOffice as it is more user friendly. Libre Office runs on all major operating systems. You can export files in MS Office format.
