My experience with BMW and Mercedes is: they only care how much money you have in your bank account then they will consider if they will speak to you. You cannot tell them what you wishes or desires for, but only choose and accept, you will be told when your car is ready, maybe 18 months and you can not complain because they are BMW and Mercedes, and they are German.

The EU is starting to bring in what are essentially protectionist measures against Chinese EVs. They are using emotive language like a “flood” of Chinese EVs and claims of dum, which is completely false, as the prices of Chinese EVs in Europe are significantly higher than for the equivalent model in China.

Germany was very happy while Chinese consumers were buying German cars. Greed and selfishness are a curse.

Even 7-8 years ago i never imagined BYD would hit European market cuz even in China BYD was like Toyota's replacement by EV(hybrid too) but not Audi BMW replacement (which still Isn't imo) but NIO, Zeekr can be rival and brands like Hiphi can rival any french italian fancy car so It's kinda Amazing

A friend of mine has a Zeekr and is war ahead of VW group cars. Amd Nio is even further ahead of Zeekr. I see very big problem for german car industry coming very soon.

During a business visit to Morocco last month, I drove a BYD model Han in Casablanca. It has a Better build quality than a Tesla and the pleasure of driving it was way better than any luxury German combustion engine car. I feel more confident in driving a German engineered car than hmm let say a Chinese made car.  When the Chinese tries to break into European market, they certainly will ship the properly assembled cars at the begng.  But will these Chinese auto makers be able to maintain the build quality when the volume of demand picks up?

No matter how the battery improves, you need to deal with a huge amount of electricity to charge. It's very risky. Only mini EVs for city use, maxmum speed limited to 60kph will be common. Large ones are indeed nonsense.

Safety, reliability, durability, comfort and last stylist are important factors in those orders. Until the Chinese car manufacturers  understand that there is no hope for “made in China” cars to succeed. I will not buy them.

Please EU raise taxes for chinese cars - the prices a artificially kept low for them. Chinese gvt gives too many subsidies to keep them at low prices.
