A Kerala-based apparel firm, which has been supplying uniform for Israel police since 2015, has decided “not to take further orders until peace has been restored” in the country.

In a release, Maryan Apparel Private Limited, located at the state-owned industrial growth centre at Koothuparamba in Kannur, has said, “We have been making uniforms for the Israel police since 2015. In the light of recent events, bombing of hospital and loss of thousands of innocent lives, we have made a moral decision to not take any further orders to manufacture Israel police uniforms until peace has been restored,”

According to me as far as business is concerned, being neutral is good. Because business is not a political party nor a nation, business sees all its customers equally irrespective of geo, religion, race,gender etc. So company shud hold a neutral stance.
