Qatar Shocks India; Sentences Eight Navy Officers To Death In Spying Case

震惊印度，卡塔尔以间谍罪判处8名印度前海军军官死刑

A court in Qatar sentenced eight Indian nationals to death. India's foreign ministry said in a statement the Court of First Instance of Qatar today passed a judgement in the case involving 8 Indian employees of Al Dahra company. The MEA said that "we are deeply shocked by the verdict of death penalty and are awaiting the detailed judgement". We are in touch with the family members of the Indians, also former Navy officers, and the legal team, and we are exploring all legal options, the MEA said. Watch the video for more details.

卡塔尔一家法院判处8名印度公民死刑。印度外交部在一份声明中表示，卡塔尔初审法院今天对Al Dahra公司8名印度雇员的案件作出了判决。外交部表示：“我们对该死刑判决深感震惊，正在等待详细的判决内容。”印度外交部表示：“我们正在与这些印度人(也是前海军军官)的家人和法律团队保持联系，我们正在探索所有的法律选择。”

Ex army, navy and airforce officers must refrain from going and working in foreign countries due to their sensitive background which can turn against them in situations like this,..not sure if we have a system in place to inform NIA or Home ministry before ex servicemen takes up jobs abroad.

There is always 2 side of a  coin. Those navy officers maybe good or bad, you cannot assume just because they are Indian navy officers they are good, they could be doing something wrong there need to analyse all the evidence and decide but again if they were involved in such spying case then there should be punishment in jail time but not death penalty.

Nowadays, Qatar has become the land of Anti India activity. During Nupur Sharma Episode, Qatar was the first country to organize anti India summit. The activities of Qatar is totally hostile, irresponsible. In this circumstances, Government should immediately ask for explanations from Qatari ambassador and direct Qatar to close down some of their consulates in Kerala, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai etc. and Qatar should be allowed to keep only one consulate, I. E. in Delhi. Qatar has become another Pakistan for India and Qatar is doing all these things at the instance of Pakistan. India should stop supplying foodgrains to Qatar immediately.
