I would love to visita India, I went Bengaluru(5 days), Jamumu(4 days) and stayed in Belai Chantisigrash for more than one year. I would love to visit again, to see Shemula, Mumbai, Cheenai, Locknow (to see monutains),and back to Bengaluru again. the airport, the part, the MG road is full of attraction, I remember my stay in Belai is fun. each house with different design, different coloring. that is more than comforte living. it is just breathtaking to be walking between them. Design is always eye-catching. and I belive in middle range hotels and good food that can be supplied in local shops , also got huge amout of fast food, Big Bazzar alike super market, and small bazzar nearby the city.

Really hope I can have a chance and visit again. if E-Visa can be again allowed for Chinese citizens.

* Lack of flight connections. E.g. you’d think there would be nonstop flights from Beiing to Bangalore, but nope.

* Onerous visa requirements. These have recently been more liberalized but the word isn’t out.

* Language barrier. Chinese don’t learn English and India doesn’t have the same degree of Chinese language guided tours as we see in other countries.

I think the answer has to do with the general cleanliness of India. China is not a clean place, it is dirty and has alot of pollution. As a result when the Chinese go on vacation, they go to places like Thailand/Phuket which is beautiful, has clear water to swim, and has little pollution.

I know there are very beautiful parts of India. But most people who think of India think of Dehli or Mumbai. There is alot of pollution there. With the Chinese tourists they are taking a vacation to get away from pollution and trying to find someplace clean and natural. If a Chinese tourist goes to India, they are going from one polluted country to another.

When i was working for Vodafone-India, a lot of people from China (Girls, Boys) used to come here to India for work, because Vodafone was one of the biggest customer of Huawei, which is a Chinese Company.

Chinese Engineers use to come to our office for rotation of 6 to 12 months. i made a lot of good friends, i never heard any problem from them. Actually some of them stayed here and staying for last 7 years, they have their Kids going to Indian School and they are very happy with the education and work environment.

When i asked them about the difference of living in India and China, most of them preferred living in Pune or Gurgaon (our head office of National Long Distance Network), also they told the Salary which they are getting in India, they can do more with it as compared to Chinese Salary.

As such there is no issues, but there are some common things for everyone who is travelling to unknown place, same applies for Chinese travelling to India.

As there can be a lot of accent and language issues, so try avoiding to small restaurant or road side places, go to pretty decent places. I remember my Friends from China, even if they knew English, still there were issues understanding it, so don't go to road side places.

While travelling in India or it can be anywhere, do your homework, use places like Quora or do research on Internet about the traveling fair via Tax, Auto Rickshaw, cost of living in Hotel, food prices etc.

In General People are very nice and welcoming, but avoid going to dark alleys, no point in taking risk, this is applicable not only to India but all the places in world.

Don't shy, talk to people even if your English is broken, because in general Indians don't care even if you are talking in broken grammar or in funny accent. Share your stories, talk about politics, culture, Indians love to hear.

Let me tell you, I worked with many chinese delegates visiting India and they never had any such problem. We Indians are happy to see foreigners visiting our country. It's good to interact with people from different cultures.

Secondly, chinese people might have language issue if they don't speak English at all, but with you that is not the case, so you can easily interact with local people.

Also, every year we host many chinese tourists and they mostly like India. A normal Indian can not clearly differentiate between Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, vietnamis people(same as Indians,bangladeshis,Pakistani etc) . So it's wrong to say they will have a hostile attitude in general.

One thing I noticed that for many chinese people travelling to India, food is sometimes an issue, as it's normally spicy. You can take care of that by being alert and don't usually eat street food that can be unhygienic.

It's true that some locals try to take more money from foreigners, like local transport providers and local shop owners, but you can be alert to that and try and look online the prices of various things in India. Make a list and then keep it with you so people won't ask for more money. Try not to travel alone at night with large amount of cash, it's risky, rest is fine if you are alert.

Trust me overall you will like India and Indians. I visited China thrice and loved it.
