Can Japan and the Koreas be considered a part of the Sinosphere?

The concept of the "Sinosphere" typically refers to the cultural and linguistic sphere influenced by Chinese civilization. While Japan and the Korean Peninsula have been strongly influenced by Chinese culture, they also have distinct and separate cultural identities of their own.
Japan, for example, has a unique culture with its own language, writing system, and historical traditions. While it has borrowed elements from Chinese culture, it has also developed independently.
Similarly, the Korean Peninsula has been influenced by Chinese culture, particularly in areas like language and Confucianism. However, it also has its own language (Korean) and a rich cultural history that is distinct from China.
So, while there are elements of Chinese influence in Japan and the Koreas, they are not typically considered part of the core "Sinosphere." They have their own unique cultural identities.

The concept of the "Sinosphere" refers to the cultural and historical sphere of influence emanating from China. It encompasses regions and countries that have been significantly influenced by Chinese culture, language, and traditions. Japan and the Koreas have indeed been influenced by Chinese culture and civilization to varying degrees throughout their histories, but they also have distinctive and independent cultural identities.
Japan, for instance, adopted various elements of Chinese culture, such as writing systems and Confucian philosophy, during different periods of its history. However, Japan also developed its own unique culture, language, and societal norms that are distinct from Chinese culture. The Japanese language, for example, is not related to Chinese, and Japan has its own rich traditions, art, and history that make it a unique cultural entity.
Similarly, the Korean Peninsula has a complex relationship with China. Korea has historically been influenced by Chinese culture, particularly during the Goryeo and Joseon dynasties, when Confucianism and Chinese characters played significant roles in Korean society. However, the Korean people also developed their own language, Hangul script, and distinct cultural traditions, making Korea a distinct cultural entity as well.
In summary, while Japan and the Koreas have been influenced by Chinese culture at various points in their histories, they each have their own unique cultural identities. As a result, they are not typically considered part of the core "Sinosphere," which primarily includes regions where Chinese culture has had a more profound and enduring impact. However, they do share historical and cultural connections with China that have influenced their development.

If Japan and the Koreas be considered a part of the Sinosphere, they US military must get out of Japan and Korea. Just as simple as that.

Yes, at China dynasties time.
At past time Japan and Korea had used Chinese characters, accepted China tributary system and China imperial hierarchy, Confucian values, dress codes, lifestyles, etc. Same goes with Vietnam.
But now Japan, Korea and Vietnam no longer dependent with China, they are independent countries now, have their own unique culture despite retaining some past time sinosphere cultural legacies.
China itself now also transformed differently than past time imperial dynasties. Although still kee some past time legacies like traditions and Chinese characters.
Sinosphere is just past time history now.

Can Japan and the Koreas be considered a part of the Sinosphere?
Historians around the world have incorrect information about Eastern history.
Korea's ancestors had a very large country in ancient times, and the Han Chinese dominated China for less than a few hundred years.
Most of Chinese history is the history of China being ruled and ruled by different ethnic groups.
Like Korea, one ethnic group did not maintain a continuous state.
In the case of Korea, when one dynasty falls, the nation that is re-created is not a different nation, but the same nation takes over and rules the nation.
In other words, only the ruler of the country changed, and Koreans continued to rule the Korean people.
In other words, you can think of it as a country where only the president has changed, like the current governance structure.
So, did Korea, which had remained unchanged for 5,000 years, become dependent on China, which was able to rule for only 300 to 400 years throughout its entire history?
How much influence has the culture of a country dominated by so many ethnic groups had on Korea?
Rather, wouldn't a country that has exsted for 5,000 years and whose ruling people changed have imported culture?
The answer to this problem can be found if you think about it logically and academically.
Current China is a country founded after the fall of the Qing Dynasty, a nation, and its history is less than 100 years old.

What is a Sinosphere?
The "Sinosphere", or "East Asian cultural sphere", refers to a grou of countries and regions in East Asia that were historically influenced by the Chinese culture. Other names for the concept include the Sinic world, the Confucian world, the Taoist world, and the Chinese cultural sphere, though the last is also used to refer particularly to the Sinophone world: the areas which speak varieties of Chinese.
The East Asian cultural sphere shares a Confucian ethical philosophy, Buddhism, Taoism and, historically, a common writing system. The core regions of the East Asian cultural sphere are Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, Japan, and Vietnam.
The terms East Asian cultural sphere and "Chinese character (Hànzì) cultural sphere" are used interchangeably with "Sinosphere" but have different denotations.

China, Japan, Korea and Vietnam are in the Sinosphere, but what does it mean?
Sinosphere also known as the East Asian Cultural Sphere refers to the regions that have been historically influenced by the Chinese in terms of culture, literacy, and traditions.
Countries (besides China) including Japan, Korea (Both), Vietnam and Taiwan (If you consider it to be a country) are part of the Sinosphere.
The members of the Sinosphere shares many similar (not an exact copy) traits including …
Practising the Confucian philosophy
Following Buddhism and Taoism

Festivals such as Chinese New Year
Mythical Legends and Stories
Clothing

There are many more similarities which I could list but I didn’t want to make this answer too long.

Conclusion
The Sinosphere refers to a list of countries who have historically been influenced by Chinese civilization. It is mostly irrelevant today as modern geopolitical interests are more important than cultural identity. Just because they have an identical culture doesn’t mean those countries get along well. We can see this tension between North Korea vs South Korea, South and North Korea vs Japan, Japan and South Korea vs China, China vs Vietnam etc. Overall, it is mostly irrelevant today and does not hold any strong meaning.

Is the term "Sinosphere" or Chinasphere popular in Korea, Japan, and Vietnam?
Ah,no.The term of “Sinosphere(or Chinasphere as a question said)” is not popular in North/South Korea,Japan and Vietnam any at all. In Vietnam, most of people don’t even hear or know the meaning of “Sinosphere” are.
But the term of “East Asian Cultures(Văn Hóa Á Đông/Đông Á)” is somewhat well-known and being used by many Vietnamese history scholars and experts for alternative of “Sinosphere” in English.
In my opinion,”Sinosphere” is too much a simplified overview of the cultures in East Asian countries. Of course North/South Korea,Japan,Vietnam and even Mongolia are adopted some of Chinese cultural influences, but that does not say they are under “the Chinese cultural sphere”,aka “Sinosphere”.
Many European countries adopted some of Roman/Latin cultural stuffs, but they are not being classified as countries in “Latin Cultural Sphere(Latinsphere)”,why would classify whole East Asian countries in the “Sinosphere”?
