External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has once again lauded India-Russia relations amid the war in Ukraine that led to questions over strong ties between New Delhi and Moscow. “We have a relationship with Russia and it is not a relationship which happened in an instant. It is a relationship of close to 60 years... I see a problem defined in a way as though somewhere there's some handicap that India has by having this relationship. But this relationship has saved us at times,” Jaishankar said at the 8th Global Technology Summit (GTS) in New Delhi.

Dr Jaishanker does not need to justify Indian's position to the colonialist occupying West. Russia as well as India were under the Mongul empire and neither colonised nor enslaved the other. It is right for both countries to be the best of friends.

It is wise to maintain goodwill towards each other, which is the relationship between Bharat and Russia . Relationships with Americans have been like a one night stand,those countries totally dependent on Americans have seen significant upheavals and loss of life.
