The Hanoi Metro Line 2 constructed by Chinese companies was highly praised by the operational staff and local residents for its speedy travel and convenience. As an aligned project of China's Belt and Road Initiative with Vietnam's "Two Corridors and One Economic Circle" plan, the metro line was built in 2018 and put into operation in 2021, serving as the first metro line in Vietnam.
