Plane held in France over 'human trafficking' concerns lands in Mumbai

NEW DELHI: Plane with 303 Indians onboard held in France over trafficking concerns landed in Mumbai early morning on Tuesday, reported news agency PTI, quoting an official.

新德里：一架载有303名印度人的飞机因涉嫌“人口贩运”在法国被扣押，据印度报业托拉斯援引一名官员的话报道，这架飞机已于周二凌晨降落在孟买。

The charter plane for Nicaragua, was grounded in France's Vatry for an investigation into human trafficking. The flight took off for Mumbai on Monday after the French authorities permitted the aircraft to leave France.

这架飞往尼加拉瓜的包机在法国瓦特里机场被扣押，以调查人口贩运问题。在法国当局允许飞机离开法国后，这架飞机于周一起飞前往孟买。

Airbus A340 flight, operated by Romanian charter company Legend Airlines, from UAE to Nicaragua, in central America, was grounded at Vatry airport last Thursday.

Among the passengers staying behind were two people questioned by French police over suspected people trafficking, but a judicial source said police released them "after establishing that the 303 passengers had boarded the plane of their own free will".

The suspects' release came because "the investigating judge was able to resist media pressure in this case", said their lawyer, Salome Cohen.

According to media reports, two passengers were detained following interrogation by the French authorities.

There is no doubt that the quality of life is much better than India. There is so much polution all over India. Trash on the broken roads, poorly managed Parks, roads are blocked by vendors occupying road, heavy traffic, dust, servers are down in even big banks most of the time, etc, animals on the road, etc. I personally feel India is the most richest country in terms of Heritage, food, etc and it can make so much money on tourism and we need to work hard to make good looks of the country. These Indians were planning to land in Nicaragua, then proceed to the Mexco-USA border, and from there, enter the USA . It is hilarious to see so many politicising this. Illegal migration from India has been happening for decades regardless of who is in power. Also it is big misconception that these people are poor. They are in fact richer than average Indians and pay lakhs to agents for this type of travel. In a crude sense they are smart and take advantage of weak entry laws of West, where it has become very easy to claim asylum on bogus claims of persecution. Why work for legitimate visa.when you have this method available? Unless and until West tightens their entry system this will continue to happen regardless of BJP or Congress

Biggest land grab on the earth was done by colonial rulers. They destroyed locals and make countries like USA,Newziland, Canada, Australia etc . Now they don't want others to share the resources and demand heavy price for it. They are worried that one day the colonial rulers will be thrown out in the same manner.

The people involved here are anything but poor. They pay lakhs to agents and smugglers. They are just taking advantage of stupid Western laws that promise an illegal a better life than a legal visa holder as long as illegal claims some kind of persecution
