China has warned of wider war in the middle east after the United States and the United Kingdom launched airstrikes on Houthi targets in Yemen in response to the Red Sea attacks. China’s envoy to the United Nations said the military action in Yemen will undoubtedly increase tensions in the region. Beiing also criticised Israel for the relentless bombing in Gaza which has resulted in more than 23,500 fatalities.
