As an oldie, I always remember Ukraine as a highly talented province of Soviet Union.  The past 30 years of dismemberment of Ukrainian theoretic and applied advanced engineering could not find any accomodation in or from their politico and greeds. I can say much of Ukrainian talents went to Asia like China, NK and Singapore. Ukraine was 3rd largest nuclear engineering base in the world 30 years ago. Much of the physical and research assets were surrendered to Moscow and nation rendered to crop farmers.. These birds must find its nests. Kudos.
