I’ll try to make this a simple a possible so even you can understand it. Germany surrendered on 8 May, 1945. The Trinity test, the detonation of the first nuclear device, took place on 16 July,1945. That’s approxmately 2 1/2 months. The weapons were not ready for use on Germany. It’s considered bad form to bomb an enemy once they have surrendered. Now ,that brings us to Japan. They refused to surrender, even though,for all intents and purposes ,they were already defeated. The intended to pursue the war to it’s bitter end. Even when they not liked USSR, if they would have bombed for example a now USSR protected city in Germany, this would lead to further worldwar. Never ending I guess.
