India's External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar is visiting the African countries of Uganda and Nigeria. In Nigeria, Jaishankar highlighted the world's dependability on the "production of a few geographies". India's trade with African countries has surpassed $90 billion a year. With globalisation becoming the biggest casualty of conflicts, Minister Jaishankar says - India is betting on Africa's rise.

India has been trading with Africa since the Egyptian civilization ...

It was Indian metallurgists that discovered gold/diamond deposits and started mining them 1000 years ago when we started to import them from the tribes without enslaving thrm for it!!

Prices for gold had sky rocketed in India at the time and the deposits were much less hence new sources needed to be discovered

India n Africa met with similar fates since the 16th century

So its not a game of greed n power for us!

The administrative class in many African countries has been Indian for decades. Africas main problem is infrastructure for transport and power. Help them with that and it will make a difference. Money that went to Africa in the 1970ies went to drs and weapons as part of the cold war. Lets not make that mistake again.
