The commoner is doing more than his or her fair share. That iaomi phone is probably the only quality device many people own after paying taxes right , left and center. Its ironic that despite all the pressure and legalized loot in name of myriad taxes , the common man still dares to dream a little.

I don't know about X iaomi or any Chinese product in particular because I am Singaporean and for some us we have an emotional aversion to anything Chinese. This may be attributed to the late 90s and the noughties where much of counterfeit goods smuggled into Singapore were of Chinese provenance. Even today, most confidence artists and scammers are either Chinese or, sorry to say, Indian.

China may boast of being an economic behemoth, but hey, whilst Singaporeans do not go abroad for non-professional work, there are many lowskilled Chinese workers in Singapore.

I imagine because most Indian products aren’t up to scratch, Apple moved to India, but found the quality far inferior to the phones made in China, so moved back to China, the Indian phones were good enough for India, but not the international market, so they still make Apple phone in India, but only for the Indian market, other companies found the same problem like Qualcomm tried India, had so many problems with corruption and graft, so went back to China. So why would Chinese buy Indian products when their own are so much better? X iaomi are world class phones, so why not buy one? I guess price and reputation may also have a lot to do with it?

Because India does not manufacture much, and what it does manufacture tends to be of dubious quality. This will no doubt change at some point but, as of early 2024, that’s the way it is.

Now coming back to the other half of the question… it's fact that China is the country with most exports in the world today . There is simply no alternative which makes sense from Cost to Quality ratio.

If India atleast wishes to be taken a serious competitor then Make in India movement just be taken to new heights. The government, the companies , the workers and the audience all four must cooperate if it needs to become a reality. However realistically speaking still Chinese products cannot be phased out 100%.

It is not about the origin of the product but I can say it depends on the cost and the quality of the products.

Most Indians do not prefer to spend a lot of money on electronic devices especially mobile phones as we feel like it’s not worth it and all the electronic items are depreciating assets there is no point in buying a mobile phone that costs way high.

If we look at any Indian brands here I am considering mobiles especially since most of the Indian brands do not have R&D centers and they directly source the mobile devices from china and just emboss their brand on the phones.

There is no need to add adjectives like “proudly”.

The main reason for this is QUALITY and PRICE . Yes nothing else.

No one wants to buy bad quality products at higher prices. Plus we Indians are also struggling with per capita income and standard of living. The rate at which both should have been increased is not increasing. When we look at the Chinese products , they are providing best available quality at that particular price. On the other hand our Indian brands always overpriced their products. Their quality is also not at par with Chinese. So a comman indian with his or her Hard earned money go for the product which suits his or her requirements and also affordable to him or her.

没有必要再给自己标榜“自豪”这样的形容词了。

主要原因就在于质量和价格。对，没有其他因素。

没有人愿意用更高的价格购买质量更差的产品。此外，我们印度人的人均收入和生活水平难以提升。两者本该提高，却一直原地踏步。我们发现中国产品，用特别的价格提供了最好的质量。反观我们印度品牌，产品定价总是太高，质量又比不过中国。所以印度人会用自己辛苦赚来的钱购买符合自己要求、同时他们还能负担得起的产品。

While Chinese people are getting good product in their own country so they will not bother to buy indian ones. Yes , but when we will start supplying best quality products at affordable prices, the Chinese will also happily or you can say proudly purchase our products. Their condition is also not so different from ours they will also desire best returns for their hard earned money.

Consumer purchases something for various reasons budget, features, quality, support, longevity thats why we have highly expensive to very economical products in most categories. give them exact option, they will consider. But overnight if we go by politics of emotional appeals and we following them religiously; we will have to give up not only some china brand phones but great many appliances and gadgets; even when iphone is an apple inc product, many parts of it are from china; same is true for not only phones but computers monitors tv watches personal health devices cameras refrigerators ac list just goes on. What all we are going to boycott and can we manage by doing so?

I purchase OPPO or X iaomi or One Plus because at that price range - they are the best. I find them to be excellent and am completely Satisfied

I dont like Indian Products - because our Manufacturers CHEAT us almost every single time by overpricing their products which are of low quality. Believe me i have tried - a lot of Indian Products - but same result - Shoes and Chappals where the sole rips off in 20–30 days, Mobile Phones which freeze almost every single time and need to be switched on and off, Headphones which end up becoming deaf on one side within 30 days

Koreans give good stuff but are more expensive

Chinese give the good stuff at the best price
