What does it mean for China’s aerospace industry?

It means the Chinese aerospace industry doesn’t care about export orders (So far, the state-owned company has received 1,061 domestic orders for the C919). As for Chinese originating flights to near neighbors in East Asia, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia, Chinese carriers have their aircraft (the C919) for those flights.

By 2029, those 1000+ aircraft will be sold to countries in Africa, S.E. Asia, and South Asia. That’s what it means for the Chinese aerospace industry.
