NEW DELHI: Five Chinese nationals along with their Pakistani driver were killed after a suicide bomber rammed a vehicle into their convoy in northwest Pakistan.

Their vehicle plunged into a deep ravine off the mountainous Karakoram Highway after the bomber rammed his car into them and detonated his explosives, police said. Zahid Khan, a senior local police official, told AFP that four Chinese nationals and their driver were killed.

新德里：在巴基斯坦西北部，一名自杀式炸弹袭击者，驾驶一辆汽车撞向一支车队，导致五名中国公民及其巴基斯坦司机死亡。

警方表示，炸弹袭击者驾驶汽车撞向他们，并引爆炸药，他们的车辆坠入喀喇昆仑山区公路附近的深谷。当地高级警官扎希德·汗告诉法新社，四名中国公民和他们的司机遇难。

据中国驻巴基斯坦大使馆消息，当地时间3月26日下午1时许，中方企业承建的开普省达苏水电站项目车辆在途中遭遇恐怖袭击，造成5名中方人员、1名巴方人员遇难。巴基斯坦总统扎尔达里26日发表声明强烈谴责达苏水电站项目恐袭事件，对中国公民遇难表示深切哀悼，向遇难中国公民家属和中国表达慰问。他表示，反巴基斯坦分子破坏巴中友谊的图谋是永远不会得逞的。
