There are many factors why India struggled to compete with China and these such as
Education and Innovation- it is no arguing China has invested heavily in education and research. Being a teacher in China I have had a first-hand experience of the quality of education and drive of the students here compared to back home or in India.
Sadly, access to quality education in India is challenging despite the country having the largest population of young people in the world. According to the United Nations, more than half of India’s population is below the age of 25, and around 65% of the population is below the age of 30.
China invested in the right things such as science, technology, and innovation. Sadly, India doesn’t come close, but they have bright-minded people who focus their skills on scamming people due to a lack of opportunity across the country.
The chinese is involved heavily in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.
印度难以与中国竞争的原因有很多，比如：
教育和创新——毫无疑问，中国在教育和研究方面投入了大量资金。作为一名在中国的教师，我对这里的教育质量和学生的动力有了亲身体验，与印度国内比起来，差距明显。
可悲的是，尽管印度拥有世界上最多的年轻人，但在印度获得优质教育仍然不容易。根据联合国的数据，印度超过一半的人口年龄在25岁以下，约65%的人口年龄在30岁以下。

We should not hesitate to praise any government as long as they do the right thing for the people. I still remember when the big earth quake hit a Chinese mountain area in 2008, the state leader showed up and setup a rescue headquarter right in the hit area in half a day, at the mean time my government took 1 whole month to send people to help the storm hit area in the southern US.

I think the biggest difference between the two countries is people's mindset. Through so many ups and downs, Chinese people, especially the Chinese leaders, are accustomed to facing big challeges and difficulties, and even eargerly looking forward to, revolutionary changes and disruptive reforms. Meanwhile in India, national independence was earned through non-voilent and noncooperation movements, changes are usually happening in a more gradual, slow and passive way, because India hasn't faced big crisis, violent revolutions and radical reforms in its recent history. People rarely want to get out of their comfort zone, because they don't have to. The mindset of the Indian people is more about opportunistic thinking than strategic thinking, and too much diversity, conflicting interests and chaotic de ocracy lead to low efficiency and shortsight (sometimes self-defeating) decisions.
