NEW DELHI/OTTAWA (Reuters) -India summoned the Canadian Deputy High Commissioner on Monday and expressed "deep concern and strong protest" after separatist slogans in support of a Sikh homeland were raised at an event addressed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

"Khalistan" is to India what "Al Qaida" is to America and the west. Khalistanis assassinated a serving women PM of India and killed thousands of innocent Hindus and Sikhs in India in the 1980s. If Canada and US want to jointly fight terrorism with India, then the least we expect of them is to not give voice to terrorists like Khalistanis.
