Air India Express sacks 30 employees after mass sick leave, asks others to join work

NEW DELHI: Tata Group-owned Air India Express has sacked around 30 of its employees who reported 'sick leave' on Wednesday leading to the cancellation of over 90 flights.

"An overwhelming number of other cabin crew members have also reported sick and not reported for their duties. This clearly points to a pre-meditated and concerted abstention from work without any justifiable reason.

新德里：塔塔集团旗下的印度航空快运解雇了约30名员工，这些员工于周三集体申请”病假”，导致90多个航班被迫取消。

”绝大多数空乘人员都声称身体抱恙，没有履行自己的职责。这清楚地表明，这是一起有预谋、有策划、没有正当理由的旷工行动。

As a result, a large number of flights had to be cancelled thereby disrupting the entire schedule, which caused tremendous inconvenience to esteemed passengers," the termination letters issued read.

"Your act is not only subversive of public interest, but has also caused embarrassment, severe reputational damage, and serious monetary loss to the Company. Your act of reporting sick for work amounts to a concerted action with a common understanding, to not operate the flight and to disrupt services of the company,” it further read.

航空公司的解雇信中称，此次事件导致大量航班被迫取消，所有航班时刻表被严重扰乱，给尊敬的乘客制造了巨大的不便。

“你们的行为不仅损害了公众利益，也令公司陷入尴尬境地，造成了严重的声誉损害及严重的经济损失。你们称病旷工的行为被视同于有预谋有组织的一致行动，目的就是为了打乱航班运行，扰乱公司的服务。”

Good decision. They should sack more as well as ask for medical certificate from those who reported wick. If any doctor gives such certificate, scrutinize such certificate and bring erroneous Doctor to face legal actions.

When Air India was nationalized, the then Govt paid 11 times its total net worth ostensibly for brand value and premium . However, 67% was paid by Tatas back to High Command First dynasty of India. THAT WAS THE LEVEL OF LOOTING.
