CHANDIGARH/BATHINDA: BJP is contesting Lok Sabha elections on its own in all 13 parliamentary seats in Punjab for the first time, with its candidates facing strong protests from farmers across the state.

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) ended its alliance with BJP in Sept 2020 over the now-withdrawn contentious agri laws, ridding the saffron party of the unease at playing second fiddle to alliance partner SAD.

Following the complaint, the Punjab CEO sought an action-taken report from DGP Gaurav Yadav.

Rich Punjab farmers are responsible for the pathetic conditions of poor and marginal farmers all over the country because they create hurdles to help them. Poor and marginal farmers should not allow rich farmers to take shelter behind them if they want their life conditions to be improved.

What's the objective of protesting against candidates who are their for campaign, if you don't like the party, just don't vote for them. Where are the messiah's of de ocracy, isn't de ocracy not in danger now by not allowing candidates to campaign in a country, where people like Keju is being given permission to campaign and out from Jail.

Don't forget that these "so called" farmers are being instigated by Congress and AAP for electoral gains. Leave aside BJP, no party can legalize MSP as demanded by these farmer unions. These are dumbhead duffers who are opposing BJP, but BJP has nothing to lose in Punjab.

bjp MLAs must talk to farm unions and guarantee step wise MSP for each crop each passing quarter so finances can be managed, more money to farmers means more consumer growth, gst growth and demand, its not a bad idea actually
