NEW DELHI: An Indian American entrepreneur, Vivek Wadhwa, called billionaire Elon Musk's decision to choose China over India for Testla's manufacturing unit "going to be the biggest loser."

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Wadhwa wrote. "Elon is going to be the biggest loser here. A few years ago, I exchanged emails with him about the risks in China.

新德里:印度裔美国企业家维韦克·瓦德瓦称亿万富翁埃隆·马斯克放弃印度,把中国定为特斯拉的制造基地,“将沦为最大的输家”。

瓦德瓦在X(曾经的推特)上发文称,“埃隆将沦为最大的输家。几年前,我就和他通过电子邮件交流了中国的风险。”

I warned him they would rob him blind and urged him to consider moving manufacturing to India instead, where he would have dominated the market by now."

The entrepreneur quoted a post by the Director of Centre for Russia Europe Asia Studies, Theresa Fallon which read, "Why US & European Automakers Are Failing In China. The hubris of companies who only looked for short term gain while transferring tech, management techniques & know how to China."

“我警告他,中国肯定会把他吃干抹净,我力劝他把制造业转移到印度,如果他听劝,现在早都已经称霸印度市场了。”

The real thing stop Indian companies like Tata and Mahindra to develop Electric cars with Range, Pickup and Oomph factor is just lack of Fire in the belly. Everything else needed to beat Tesla at its Game is already there. Technical Skills, Land, Govt Support, Capital to Invest etc.
