With more than seven million homes sitting empty, China's housing market is in a dire need of a rescue. Today, Beiing finally decided to pull the trigger. Chinese authorities have announced a broad rescue package - which lowers the down payment requirements and encourages local governments to buy unsold apartments. Will the plan work? Some experts are skeptical. They feel Beiing won't have enough money to help all distressed developers. Palki Sharma tells you more about the growing crisis within China's property sector.

I find it incredibly shocking and surprising how China and India are just so strikingly in contrasting. On one hand they have an abundance of unoccupied buildings (ghost cities is what some calls it). In fact a few thousand of those cities already. On the other hand in India there is hardly any buildings and is filled with sIums everywhere with no toIiets. USA is in a similar position to lndia with their amounts of homelessness now.
