The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) delivered its sixth C919 aircraft to China Eastern Airlines on May 27, China Media Group reported. As China's first homegrown large passenger aircraft, the C919 is also celebrating the first anniversary of its commercial operation from Shanghai to Beiing, which started on May 28, 2023.

i hope comac will scale up X more times so that all airlines who ordered the 1000+ units can get them as soon as possible, this will exponentionaly elevate the home grown aerospoce industry signifantly, bringing prosperaty to a lot of local people and improve lives through development of talents with investments in education, engineering, manufacturing all various aspects to a safe and working product. they can certainly apply lessons learned from industries like electronics, ship building, auto, railway and train fabrications etc....

For those that downplay China's ability.
US bans chip export to China and now China is making their own and steadily catching up with the latest manufacturing process.
US kicks China out of the ISS program. And now China has their own space station and even outpacing NASA in deep space exploration.
If China can build a space station. It would not be difficult for a commercial airliner if they are forced to develope local parts like avionics and engines.

Only time will tell how safe this plane is, it's too early to review it. Only one year in with this aircraft versus Boeing/Airbus equivalent several decades in.
