NEW DELHI (AP) — India and Bangladesh on Saturday moved to bolster their defense relationship and signed agreements for expanding cooperation in maritime security, ocean economy, space, and telecommunication sectors, as New Delhi tries to present itself as a regional power and a counterweight to China.

~40 yrs ago, I was enthusiastic about the open up of China, as I started my business career in East Asia. I witnessed China's economic miracle, but didn't anticipate the monstrous emergence of today China hell-bent on its. Both US and EU are far from Eastern Asia. Only two possible large demracies that can help stabilize Asia are Japan and India. Japan is an aging country, but India truly has the best potential. It may take 40 yrs, but India will be there in the end.
