I bet on bad materials. Full turn with radius of 500m most probably damage damage the ship.

Why - chinese could have successfully stolen the design of the generators, but producing specific material and building a ship correctly is much harder.

Zeihan’s analysis makes sense. This isn’t the real carrier, but the test carrier to see if they could manufacture a carrier from the ground up. The last one was to see if they could copy old Soviet designs.

The next one will be the one to evaluate.

US carriers are 25% larger and have 1/7 the turning radius.   China has no experienced , no combat experience for its troops, substandard training, sub standard technology and manufacturing capabilities and almost no logistics.  The J-20 has massively underpowered engines.  It can not take off at all with a full load of weapons and even less fuel.  They are not stealth capable either.

That's the difference between the U.S and China, the U.S builds quality while China builds quantity. You can build as many as you want but if they're easy to find and easy to hit, those assets are going to disappear pretty quick.

Although it is likely true that China’s military is lacking in comparison to the United States I think it foolish to ignore their rapid progress. China clearly has something to prove and their determination is clear.
