The Chang'e-6 landed in the Inner Mongolia desert on Tuesday, after a nearly two-month long mission which was fraught with risks.

The topography of the far side of the Moon is way different from the near side. The reason has to do with how the Moon was formed and that it was tidally locked with the Earth before it solidified.

France, along with Italy and Pakistan, also participated and collaborated with China in the Chang'e 6 Moon mission. France released a radon detector (DORN) on the moon. Pakistan released a lunar cubesat, and Italy released a laser retro-reflector. All were successful. Congrats to all!
