There is partly corruption to be blamed for these kind of structure failures, but I am an engineer from India living in Canada for over 50 years and yes I have seen a lot of similar things happened here (and in western world) too, as you so aptly described in this video. I won't blame Indian media like some commentators have done. As a non-indian Hindu with Indian heritage I value the overall respect hindus  practise towards others. As a result Indian media rightly does not make fun of others' calamities. However it is also important to point out  foreign media bias. Well done Karolina

I have worked in middle east for so long in the construction industry. The quality of engineering in middle east is way different than the quality of engineering in India. Most, of the infrastructure projects in middle east are allotted to China state company, worly parsons , Bethel engineering etc..where as Indian companies do the sub-contracting work/ EPC work..Yes in the US/Germany too these things happen but not like India.

As an Indian we need to accept it. Because the corruption here is huge that's one reason Indian municipal/city limit roads which ever part of India you visit, its always in pathetic condition.

Any tourist who goes to visit any country first thing he will see the infrastructure then comes the cleanliness. Without these two things a countries image will never get improved.
