Peru and a Chinese state-owned company have resolved a dispute over who will have access to a massive US$1.3 billion port being built by the company near the Peruvian capital Lima. The Chancay megaport dispute was dropped ahead of a meeting in Beiing between Peruvian President Dina Boluarte and her Chinese counterpart

When China builds infrastructure in other countries, some countries would try to change the agreements mid-way through but China has built-in conditions in their contracts in which China would suspend further construction on the project and demand the host country to repay all the investment back plus interest. That's what happen in Uganda and Argentina recently and these 2 countries quickly change their position and adhere back to the original contract with China.

I'm like lawsuit dropped and the Peruian President visited. probably got some concession back from china. I'm like you have to honor the contract. You sold the right to operate the ports to Cosco, you can't start demanding to get that right back when the port is almost finished.
