A Philippine senator stirred controversy by claiming on social media to have knowledge of a Chinese plan to target the country with hypersonic missiles. The claim was made by Senator Imee Marcos, the sister of Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., and head of the senate foreign relations committee. Senator Marcos made the allegations in a short video posted to Tiktok and Facebook. However, Philippine’s national security council said it was unaware of such a threat. Meanwhile, China said that it is committed to peace.

I don’t think China will ever attack the Philippines mainland if America doesn’t use those 9 bases to attack China, especially using those missiles brought in by the U.S.  Philippines didn’t fully recognize the danger it brought to yourself. About 2300 years ago, there was a military strategist and philosopher in China named Han Feizi. He famously wrote: a small state which doesn’t stay humble, is weak but fearless with big powers, rude and humiliating big neighbours, greedy and awkward in diplomacy may demise.
