'Bet on Russia as a reliable partner is not a good bet': US warns India

The United States on Thursday warned India that relying on Russia as "a reliable partner is not a good bet," and added that Moscow would prioritise its relationship with Beiing over New Delhi in the event of a dispute between the two Asian powers.

Replying to a question about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent visit to Russia, US national security adviser Jake Sullivan in a press conference said, "We've made clear to every country in the world including India that a bet on Russia as a long-term, reliable partner is not a good bet."

Russia has a proven record of friendship with India. In adverse circumstances Russia and India can be a strong force to reckon with, even for China. It's not only military strength that makes a country strong. Russia and India, have lots of natural resources, on which many countries depend upon. The Indian Intelligence is matchless too.

US helped to build China and its economy, and in turn, it supplied big profits to mostly US multi-nationals and cheap goods to its consumers, thus kee the check on inflation. After 40-plus years, the Chinese economy improved, but governing principles stayed the same. That created a rift between the US and China, and the US lost strategically. Chinese co unist set-up is more aligned with Russia, and now they are together as expected. It will need strategic thinking on Indian side of how these cards will play when the dynamics have changed. Now, Russia, to a good extent, is a smaller economy and smaller weight than China going forward.

So, India, through diplomacy, can keep the check on both sides and likely come to the position of leadership when it builds economic might, which is another 10 to 15 years away. So, we have a great future to lead world politics.

Please note- we are forced to make that choice because of US constantly supporting countries opposed to India.. US has sided with Pakistan and it has only been Russia who have supported India unwaveringly, any country will do what we are doing. If you want us to be on your side- show us some love..

He's partly right.,Chinese money is taking over Russia n Russia worth all it's debt towards china, an inferior military power to China, would be barely able to help India during a conflict with china.
