ARARIA: Yet another bridge collapsed in Bihar on Tuesday evening, 15th such incident in the state in a span of four weeks. The latest bridge, situated on Parman river at Amhara village in Araria district's Forbesganj block, was swept away due to heavy pressure of floodwaters in the river, an official said.

Araria district magistrate Enayat Khan told media persons that the said bridge was constructed by rural works department (RWD) in FY 2008-09, and that it was damaged during 2017 floods, after which it was declared closed for road traffic.

Executive engineer (RWD) of Araria division, Prabin Kumar, said the bridge was declared unfit for use in 2017. "But it was repaired and renovated in FY 2020-21. Our office has sent a check list of this bridge to the higher officials in the department," he said.

Corruption is from top to bottom. There should be criminal case against engineers, contractors and also responsible. Suspension is other door for corruption for politicians and officers, after a few months these suspension will be revoked and same engineers, officers will be reinstated.

It is out come of Mera chacha , bhatija, humara aadami ko contract milana chahiye , they force Government Machinery , pay heavy under table ,finally get contract of construction without having any facility , skill, equipments with them , get work done from 3rd party with infirior material , after construction the bridge inspector is also fed under table , so it is Corruption chain , very much deep rooted - final out put is , Bridge collapsed , no Improvement . Now for the sake of action , they will blacklist that contract company , and same contactor comes with new name and again new contract with increased price - So it is ongoing continual program , all Political parties are same .

一些施工方没有资质，没有任何设施、技能和设备，他们出高价贿赂，最终拿到了施工合同，然后外包给第三方施工，施工后桥梁检查员也受贿，所以这是一个腐败链，非常根深蒂固。

最终的结果是，桥梁倒塌，没有改善。现在为了敷衍了事，他们会把那个承包公司列入黑名单，这个承包商换了新名字，新的合同又涨价了——所以这是一个死循环，哪个政党上台都是一样的。

There is widespread corruption in most of the state governments. The intensity may be more or less. In Bihar corruption is at its peak. Even politicians are helpless. Only a few leader like Amma ( Late Jayalalithaa mam) and Modi have been able to control. Yogi was also trying hard but the setback in the current election will curb yogijis power.
